Aging Makeup

Aging Makeup
  • Below are the steps I took in order to create an aging effect on my own face

  • Step #1: After covering my entire face with my base color, I took my outline that I perfected on paper and transferred it to my face at my best judgement with a light brown pencil. I will use these lines, with highlights and shadows, to make my skin appear to be sagging, darker, or lighter.

  • Step #2 I applied shadows first on the lower half of the lines I created. Then, I added highlights on the top half of the lines to make it seem as if the skin is coming forward or puffing out.

  • Step #3 I took a small dry paintbrush and blended the highlights and shadows into the base color I first applied on my face. This final step took the most time. I had to go back in with both highlights and shadows and enhance any areas I thought needed it.

  • Step #4 Final touches. After blending, I applied a natural lip color to make my lips darker. I also applied white to my eyebrows to make them appear gray.
